Please join us for a weekend of biking, camping and cooking at the Heritage Rail Trail/Spoutwood Farm in Glen Rock the weekend of May 23-25. On Saturday May 24th we’ll bike from Glen Rock to the Howard Tunnel & back (17 miles). Pull your bikes out of winter storage and bring them to the Troop Meeting on Tuesday, May 20th for our Bike Shakedown/Rodeo. You may leave your bike in the troop trailer/lockup afterward if you wish. Itinerary, Packing List, Permission Slip & Map/Brochure are attached. Special thanks to Sam Cessna & Nicholas Baumgardner for helping to organize this event. They prepared a planning sheet for this event and I will share it with you if/when I receive it.
NOTES: HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. ANY SCOUTS WHOSE EQUIPMENT (BIKES, HELMETS, ETC.) IS NOT CLEARED IN ADVANCE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW PROMPTLY IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE BUT DO NOT HAVE A BIKE OR HELMET. Scouts with extra helmets are encouraged to bring them to the Bike Shakedown/Rodeo to share with those who do not have a helmet. Thank you,
