Eagle Scout Nick Evich – 9/20/2016

Troop 103 Scouts, Parents, Committee and Friends,

This evening (9/20//2016) Troop 103 Life Scout Nick Evich was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, becoming Troop 103’s 83rd Eagle Scout.

Nick is a student at Delone Catholic High School and is an avid and accomplished ice hockey player.  His short term goal is to help his hockey team (Hershey Jr. Bears) win a USA Hockey National Championship.  He is ranked #2 in his Senior Class and a career in mechanical and/or petroleum engineering awaits as he considers his college prospects.

Nick’s Eagle Scout Service Project involved leading others in installing a 37’ x 6’ handicapped access ramp at St. Joseph Church in Hanover.  The new ramp connects the handicapped parking spaces to the church Narthex, making it no longer necessary for wheelchair-bound parishioners to go around the church to enter it.  Shrubbery was removed, land was excavated and concrete was poured.

Please join me in congratulating Nick and in thanking St. Joseph Church, Keith Smith Concrete, the many other donors, family members, friends, leaders, scouts and others who helped make these accomplishments possible.  Please enjoy the attached photo of our proud Eagle Scout and his equally proud parents!
